The idea for the Kasundo Project wasn't born in a boardroom; it was born in the middle of SkyWay express way on my way to work at Manila.
I saw two things happening everywhere: first, riders were paying unpredictable, often unreasonable commissions (around 20%-41%).
Second, I saw the tricycle drivers, constantly negotiating and struggling to compete with modern ride hailing apps.
So I asked, "What if there was no commissions?". What if we could build a system where the terms were fair, and transparent?
And as a solo developer, I could keep my costs low to introduce: a subscription model for the rider, eliminating commissions entirely.
So the Kasundo Project was created with a simple mission. Create a transparent, affordable, and sustainable way to move within our provinces.
